The Witcher 3 on PC has received a quick hotfix from CD Projekt Red. There appears to be an improvement in the game’s stability and performance as a result of this update.

Consoles received rave reviews for The Witcher 3’s next-gen update, but the PC version was not as fortunate. In addition to performance issues, there were stability issues that led to the game crashing multiple times.

Although there are no detailed patch notes shared by CD Projekt Red, the new update seems to address performance and stability issues.

The Witcher 3 PC Update December 19 Patch Notes

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just been updated on PC with a hotfix which should improve stability and performance, and fix GOG and Steam overlays. According to CDPR, there won’t be a change. “Our teams are working on further improving the experience on all platforms.”

There is now a next-gen update available for those who own the Origin version of the game. The owners were not able to access it previously, but that should be resolved now.

A list of known issues and some fixes for the game has also been released by CD Projekt Red. The best thing to do if you’re experiencing problems or bugs in the game right now is to download this update.

The Witcher 3’s next-generation update added ray tracing to current-generation consoles and PCs. It resulted in an increase in the system requirements, but some users are still struggling to get a decent performance.
